The Community Show #75

By | October 6, 2016

Victoria Wilsher & Laura Burton-Lawrence in the Channel Radio Studio
Broadcast on Thursday 6 October 2016.  Our studio guest was Victoria Wilsher, community fundraiser at Kent MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Therapy Centre.  The centre started in 1984, created by people with MS for people with MS.  In January 2015 it opened a new centre on the same site in Canterbury which has had a huge impact on the amount of services and support the centre can now provide.  the centre is there to help radically improve the lives of those with MS, their families and carers.  As is the case with such a large number of charities and organisations in and around Kent, the centre relies solely on it’s own fundraising activities to achieve the £300k per year it costs to run.

Listen to the show to find out how you can volunteer, join in with some of the great fundraising activities there are coming up and more about the support the facility provides, covering the whole of Kent and over the borders as it is the only centre of it’s kind in the South East of England.
