The Community Show #13

By | July 24, 2015

CommShow13Broadcast on Thursday 23rd July 2015.  Our studio guests were Puppy Walker Don Baker with guide dog puppy Joyce from Guide Dogs.  With an estimated 180,000 people who are blind or partially sighted in the UK, many who rarely leave their home, the difference a Guide Dog can make to people’s lives is significant.

Learn about how Puppy Walkers are the first step in a guide dog’s journey to becoming a Guide Dog.  Find out the differences between having a guide dog puppy and a regular puppy in your household.  Don shares a wealth of information about his experiences of taking on guide dog puppies (Joyce is his 2nd), why he does it and the benefits guide dogs bring to the lives of the many blind and partially sighted across the UK.

There are many other ways you can help this amazing charity and Don lets you know how.
