Broadcast on Thursday 16 March 2017. Our show guest was Denis Hart, Chairman of the Crowborough Community Festival Committee who are putting on a month long festival of activities during May this year. Find out how Denis, who has only lived in Crowborough for a short time, was inspired to organise something big for the town. How did he get so many people on board to support him on his mission and how he’s managed to secure funding to put on so many events this May. If you’re thinking of organising something in your town then maybe Denis’s story can inspire you to make a start.
There is a complete listing of all the various activities on the website – crowboroughfestival.org – some are ticketed (even though they are free) as they have limited numbers. The events begin on May 1st with ‘The Lost World of Conan Doyle Fun Day‘ and there will be something from everyone including music, art, films and amateur dramatics throughout the month.
As well as the website you can also find updates from Crowborough Community Festival on Facebook @CCFestivalInfo, @CCFLostWorld, @CCFFoodFair and Twitter @CCFLostWorld and @CCFFoodFair.
