Channel Radio studio pictureBroadcast on Thursday 2 March 2017.  It was all change in the studio with new co-host Ken Tymms taking over from Russell and what a super job he did!  It was a full house as we were joined by 3 members of the Rotary Club of Medway: David Hatcher, Linda Arnold and Alex Hyne.  If Rotary makes you think of a group of retired businessmen having a get together each week then think again.  Rotary is an all inclusive club for everyone – men and women, young and old – but who all have the same values of wanting to give back and do good, not only local charities and groups but on an international level too supporting Shelterbox.

Listen to the show to find out more about Rotary as a whole but also to hear about why it is a club for everyone.  Linda Arnold was one of the first women to join the club when Medway Rotary Club first opened it’s doors to ladies; Alex Hyne is the youngest member of the club at just 20 years old, and David Hatcher has seen how Rotary has changed and moved forward over the years.

If you are interested in finding out more about Medway Rotary, they meet every Tuesday at 8pm a Gillingham Golf Club and would love to hear from you.  If you’re not in the Medway area then take a look at the Rotary International website to find a club near you.
