Broadcast on Thursday 1st February 2018. Our studio guest was Keith Mabbutt, Founder and CEO of Street Soccer Foundation – a non-profit organisation who change lives through football. Listen to the show to find out how, after hearing a radio interview with the CEO of Shelter and learning about how homelessness affects young people, Keith set to work developing a plan as to how he could combine his passion of football AND help young homeless people. Just 3 months later he launched a pilot of Street Soccer Foundation at West Ham.
Working with other organisations across the county, the foundation reach out to young people interested in joining the academy and give them the skills to be able to improve their lives and environment.
YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST: While the programme is aimed at both males and females, Keith has found that females are put off joining the predominantly male academy so on 1st of May 2018 the Female only Street Soccer Foundation will be launched. Watch this space!
