Broadcast on Thursday 25th May 2017. Our guest was Stephen Elsden – Chief Executive at Compaid – a Tunbridge Wells based charity providing services to disabled people in the South East. Compaid started 30 years ago and has now grown to the largest disability charity in the country, supporting over 1,800 disabled and vulnerable people each year. With training provided either at their training centre in Paddock Wood or at the homes of individuals, there is a wide selection of courses available. Listen to the show to find out how the charity works, how you can get involved and help Compaid deliver their services across the area and much more.
Maybe you could be one of their volunteer drivers – you’ll receive full training in driving one of their minibuses.
