Broadcast on Thursday 1 December 2016. We were joined in the studio by John Handley, Chief Executive at The Bridge Trust. The charity have been celebrating 25 years in existence this year, helping homeless people in the West Kent area. The aim of the Bridge Trust is to offer essential services that a homeless person may need in their journey from homelessness to independent living.
Listen to the show to hear about how you can help this wonderful charity, who although not a big organisation, have managed to help over 6,000 people move on with their lives and they wish to continue to support many more into the future. John Handley, having been part of The Bridge Trust for the past 9 years, is very passionate about their work and wants people to understand that there is no one type of homeless person but they can in fact come from any background. It may even be happening to someone you know…
You may want to help with their Christmas ‘Move On’ Appeal or take part in the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon in February 2017 on behalf of the charity.
