Broadcast on Thursday 14 July 2016. We were joined in the studio by Caroline Wire, Arena Acts & PR Coordinator for the New Romney Country Fayre Committee. This fayre has been running since 1994 and has now become the BIGGEST event to take place on Romney Marsh and this year is being held on Saturday 30 July. The event attracts over 7000 visitors to the area each year, not just local residents of the Marsh but visitors from much further afield. With a committee consisting of under 20 volunteers to put on such an extravaganza, help and support from the community is always sought.
Listen to the show to find out what’s in store at the fayre for 2016, when you need to be there and why committee members such as Caroline are so dedicated to being part of such an organisation.
